After you submit your site to Google you'll want to check whether Google has taken notice of your site. So you'll keep on googling for your site name until one day, most gratifyingly, it shows up in your search results. Now that the little detail is taken care of, the next question you'll have is How many pages on my site has Google indexed? Here's a quick way to find out:
Go to www.google.com and type site: followed by the address of your web site. Since my site is www.acxede.net, I'll have to type site: www.acxede.net, for example. You'll see a result page such as the one shown below:
Google displays the numer of pages on your site in its index.
The number in the red circle tells you approximately how many pages on your site Google has indexed.
Keep in mind that Google doesn't necessarily index every page on your site. It's normal to see only a few pages on your site indexed. And the number may change from time to time.
