Replace An Office Live Site's Home Page

At first glance, it may appear to you that you can't delete the home page of an Office Live Site. If you go to the Page Manager and click the Delete link against the Home page, Office Live pops up a message saying:

But it is possible to replace the home page. Like this:

  1. Log in to OLB and go to the Page Manager.
  2. Click the New button at the top. It will open a window for selecting a template. Select "Home" and click Next. OLB will send you to the "Choose page properties" page.
  3. Give your page a title. In the web address field, enter "default" (without the quotes). check the Overwrite checkbox. In the Navigation box, select "Add this page to the Navigation bar. Enter "Home" as the Navigation title and select in the "Select parent" dropdown.
  4. Click the "Finish" button and you will have a brand new home page!
